5 things you can do to make your wedding photographer happy

Everyone wants the best images possible from their wedding day. Whatever images are most important to you, the ceremony, the reception, the portraits, here are my 5 top tips for things you can do during your wedding day to make your photographer (and yourself) a happy person.

1. Be spontaneous. The best photos sometimes don’t fit into a schedule. A skilled photographer will notice lighting that “NEEDS TO BE USED” which often do not fit

2. Have a professional wedding coordinator. Without this trusted asset the photographer will often be in charge of running the show which distracts us from our job of capturing your day.

3. Go unplugged! Ask your guests to put their cell phones away during the ceremony.

4. If you want dancing to happen you better get on the dance floor yourself. If you are not dancing neither will your guests.

5. Give us time. Give the photographer at least 1 hour with just the bride and groom. Also plan on a mini session later in the evening to capture some relaxed “golden light” or sunset photos.
